LOVE & SELF-LOATHING out NOW

LOVE & SELF-LOATHING by
RAOUL IPKISS

Our main character and narrator, Nathan, is a young and aspiring writer. About two years before our story begins he finds a kind of “mentorship” with a much older and much wiser woman. Her name is Julia. She’s an accomplished author and very well known. While on the other hand our young man only has one very poor and very bad novel under his belt. The kind that not even his closest friends read. But life is good, as she is coaching him through his next one. It’s all that a young man can really ask for. That is, until the former love of his life comes knocking at his door. Her name is Rhiannon. From there on out there’s some “naked poetry”, some punching, lots of projection, and even more lies the young man has to keep stringing along. Even more than the fiction he’s trying to write along the way.

About Raoul

I’m young and a complete amateur. I have no background or previously published work. Besides some college years of creative writing and journalism. I’m from a “small” town right outside of Houston. And some time ago, I moved to a small, hippie city for school. It ended up not being for me - the school, that is. Then I fell in love a few times. Now, I have a novel to share.

“How cliché.”

I know.
